2014 Porsche 911 GT3 RS new details

Porsche 911 is celebrating 50 years of life and the German car maker didn't miss an event to remind us. But the history is writing every day and that's why the Stuttgart car maker is expanding the 911 line-up. Today, a new report about the Porsche 911 GT3 RS has been unveiled.

According to this, the upcoming 911 GT3 RS will come to US late next year and it is expected to be wider than the 911 GT3 and it will have the body panels from the 911 Turbo. More than that, the upcoming 911 GT3 RS could be equipped with a special carbon fiber roof and an adjustable rear wing.

From the same report we find out that under the hood could be a 4.0 liter flat six unit or a tweaked version of the GT3 3.8 liter engine. It will be able to produce more than 475 horsepower and the resources will be put to the ground via a PDK transmission.
According to Automobile Magazine, the upcoming Porsche 911 GT3 RS will come with a sporty suspension, an electronic rear differential and a more agile steering system.
