2007 Arden Range Rover Sport

Gone are the days when only those italian sports cars bearing steer logos were designed with wing doors. Arden proves such features enhance SUVs as well establishing themselves as trail blazers. Arden achieves this one-of-a-kind look through use of a specialized door hinge unit that opens the original door first to the outside, then steadily glides it upwards and gently opens it completely. A gas spring supports the opening phase and reduces unnecessary strain to a minimum. The complete mechanism is individually customized made of high quality stainless steel.

The sophisticated construction which is necessary due to the adverse conditions in terms of available space, features comprehensive engineering know-how. The highest degree of precision assembly is mastered by the German specialists with flying colours. As Arden takes security to heart, all mechanisms are thoroughly tested in accordance with manufacturing vehicle UN-ECE regulations. Wing doors catapults every Range Rover Sport to becoming the ultimative show car! Price for modification to the original standard doors includes installation.

Paris, France 30th September 2010 The groundbreaking, all-new Range Rover Evoque makes its global public debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

Dr Ralf Speth, CEO, Jaguar Land Rover, said: These are exciting times for our business as we continue to widen our portfolio with this all-new addition to the Range Rover line-up. Not only will the Range Rover Evoque increase our worldwide market share, but it demonstrates our commitment to building sustainable, yet highly desirable products."

Dr Speth continued: The Evoque helps to define a new segment for premium compact SUVs that are more sporting and stylish. It makes a strong statement about the future direction of the Range Rover brand and will have a powerful emotional appeal to a very broad range of premium car buyers.

The Range Rover Evoque has turned the much-acclaimed LRX concept car into reality, faithfully capturing the spirit of its landmark cross-coup design.

True to the Range Rover brand, the Evoque effortlessly delivers premium levels of craftsmanship, luxury and performance, but shrink-wrapped into a more compact package.

The lightest and most fuel-efficient Range Rover ever, the Evoque demonstrates the marques commitment to environmental sustainability, bringing sub-130g/km* CO2 capability to the premium SUV class.

Phil Popham, managing director of Land Rover, said: The groundbreaking, all-new Range Rover Evoque takes the brand into exciting new territory. Highly relevant and contemporary, the Evoque will appeal to a whole new group of customers who may not have considered a Range Rover before.

For this highly distinctive product, we have chosen a distinctive name. The all-new Range Rover Evoque will be sold in over 160 countries worldwide and its name will be instantly recognisable across language and cultural boundaries throughout the world. Evoque implies exclusivity and arouses emotions, and has a sophisticated aura that matches the cars urban elegance, he added.

Dr Speth continued: This vehicle has been designed, engineered and will be manufactured in the UK, allowing the creation of more than 1,000 jobs at our multi award-winning Halewood plant in Merseyside. This employment boost, paired with the fact that over 80 per cent of Range Rover Evoque production is planned for export, will be a fantastic support to the UK economy.
Evolution of Range Rover design
The all-new Range Rover Evoque takes its inspiration directly from the LRX concept car, which drew worldwide acclaim for its exciting new interpretation of classic Range Rover design cues.

Smart design in conjunction with meticulous engineering allowed the spirit of the LRX concept to be turned into reality without compromising the core Range Rover values of interior luxury, refined performance and all-terrain capability.

Gerry McGovern, Land Rover design director, said: The Range Rover Evoque marks a bold evolution of Range Rover design by adopting new interpretations of classic Range Rover design cues and staying true to the core Range Rover values.

With its dramatic rising beltline, a muscular shoulder running the length of the car, and a distinctive taper to the floating roofline, the Evoque adopts a very dynamic profile with a powerful and athletic stance.

Pushing the wheels out to the four corners helps give the car its purposeful stance. The wheelarches are wide, but softly integrated into the body, while the carefully sculpted corners dramatically reduce the cars visual overhangs front and rear.

Arden Range Rover AR7

Arden Range Rover AR7
  • superior 480 HP and powerful 680 Nm
  • compressor motor with increased cubic capacity
  • sporty aerodynamic kit
  • resonant sound with stainless steel exhaust system / extravagant exhaust tailpipe design
  • 22 or 23 wheels, high performance braking system
  • elegant sporty interior
Elegance, discreet sportiness and understatement have always been the characteristics of British cars. The car enhancement specialist and registered automobile manufacturer from Krefeld was unable to resist the attraction of these vehicles over 30 years ago. It has for many years been a refuge for customers wanting it to individualise their Jaguar or Range Rover and emphasize its typical characteristics. Ardens latest development is the AR7. It is based on the Range Rover LM, which Arden completely converts and provides with more overtaking prestige. The base vehicle which is impressive due to its sheer size becomes captivating with its extraordinary sporty look. Meanwhile enhanced performance of the Range Rover compressor motor contributes to the sporty driving performance.
Superior performance
Arden obtains not less than 480 HP from the from the supercharged V8, its cubic capacity having been raised to 4.5 litres. Together with the torque which has been increased to an ample 680 Nm, this provides the not exactly light Range Rover with an appealing driving performance. The sheer power catapults the British SUV from nought to one hundred km/h in 6.5 seconds. Outstanding engine power goes without saying. Even if speeds beyond 200 km/h do not happen often due to the flow of traffic, the Arden AR7s 480 HP make over 240 km/h possible.
Arden bodykit: better look, better driving behavior
Arden adapted its aerodynamic components to the Range Rovers basic design in a masterly fashion. As usual with Arden, the kit looks as though it fits seamlessly. The completely re-designed, in total 6 cm wider front apron, which replaces the production part, features a hand-made stainless steel grill and air vents. These features emphasize not only the dynamic and powerful appearance, they also provide more effective air supply to the cooling units behind. Arden has made substantial improvements to the aerodynamics, effectively reducing lift to the front axle; this has a lasting benefit on handling performance at higher speeds. The LED daytime running lights deserve special attention. They comply with the future European standards and are harmoniously integrated right and left above the large air intakes. To complete the powerful appearance, Arden also enhances the Range Rover with wheel arch extensions, side skirts and a newly developed rear apron, which like the front apron features several grill inserts.

With regards to harmoniously designing the rear area, Arden adapted the design of the exhaust tail pipes of the stainless steel sport exhaust system, which was exclusively hand-made for the new AR7, perfectly to the design of the rear apron. The system which produces a marvellous resonant sound ends in rectangular tailpipes, with its openings characterized by a horizontal center bar, so that they do not appear too overpowering and meet Ardens standards for understatement.
Bigfoot
The Sportline wheels have a large share in the appearance of the Arden AR7. Arden offers the three-part forged wheel in 22 or 23. The increased size compared with the production Range Rover clearly improves the handling of the SUV and gives the driver more driving pleasure.

Whoever decides on enhanced power should also think of suitable braking performance. So that the Arden AR7 comes to a standstill as quickly as it accelerates, Arden incorporates at the front a 6-piston and at the rear a 4-piston braking system which distributes its power emphatically on the internally ventilated and perforated brake disks.
Elegant interior
The interior does not come off badly with Arden either. In the in-house saddlery all of the interior work is carried out to the highest precision and converted into the customers requirements with great attention to detail. Leather and alcantara are made to measure in any colour desired, a wide variety of high-grade woods are processed and also chrome, carbon and aluminium applications are made for customers.

2013 Range Rover Sport HSE

The Range Rover Sport is one of those vehicles that you just can’t wait to get your hands on. This journalist has driven them before, and Land Rover just seems to keep improving the Sport every year. This week we’ll be testing the 2013 Sport HSE with the Luxury Package. This Range Rover Sport has all the luxury that Land Rover has to offer and it comes with the off-road capability that the brand is known for. It boasts a powerful V8 and an agile chassis worthy of the Sport designation. This will be the last generation before Land Rover launches the new 2014 model that was just unveiled in New York.

Luxurious and rugged

The Range Rover Sport seats five and fits between the larger flagship Range Rover and the smaller Range Rover Evoque crossover. It shares platforms, drive systems, suspension, and powertrain with the Land Rover LR4 but it comes with more standard features and upscale styling. The Range Rover Sport is designed to go anywhere its owner wants to take it. It’s just as much at home going to the theatre as it is on a backcountry trail at 13,000 ft elevation. This week we did both as we pulled up to The Capital Grille in downtown Denver and had a valet park the upscale SUV. We also took it off-road for some fun in the mountains west of town.
But the Range Rover Sport doesn’t come cheap with a sticker price of $60,045 for the HSE. Add in the Premium LOGIC7 audio package, the Luxury package and destination, and the price is up near $70,000. The Sport competes in the crowded luxury SUV segment with the Lexus RX, Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Audi Q7, BMW X5, Volvo XC90, Infiniti FX, Porsche Cayenne, and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Its starting price, however, is the highest of this group, and arguably only the Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Porsche, and VW are priced comparably.

Loaded with luxury features

But the Range Rover Sport is in a class of its own and comes loaded with standard luxury features like leather upholstery; dual-zone automatic climate control with pollen filter; GPS navigation system with touch screen, 380-watt 14-speaker harman/kardon AM/FM/ audio system with virtual CD/MP3 player, iPod and USB; rain-sensing wipers; front and rear Park Distance Control; power mirrors, seats; power sunroof; HomeLink garage door opener; footwell lights and puddle lights;
This Sport tester came with the optional audio upgrade to an 825-watt harman/kardon system with 17 speakers plus satellite and HD digital radio ($1,650). The Luxury Package ($4,700) added heated front and rear seats, windshield, washer jets and steering wheel. It also comes with plus premium leather including a leather-wrapped steering wheel; adjustable side bolsters for the driver’s seat; a climate-controlled storage console; 20-inch alloy wheels; and 480 watts worth of harman/kardon sound with a changer for six physically present CDs.

A commanding view from inside

Step inside the cabin and it feels like a British stateroom. The interior is beautifully finished and the quality is what you would expect from a luxury vehicle in this price range. The seats sit high and give a commanding view through the windshield and side windows. The interior is made for comfort and includes pus-button start, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, satellite navigation with voice recognition and full power everything.

2013 A Kahn Design Land Rover Defender لاند روفر ديفندر

Having received much acclaim for fashioning his first Defender in November 2012, Afzal Kahn has given his signature stamp to a military dalliance with the Defender.
Under the Kahn expedition vehicles umbrella, the 'Chelsea truck company' introduces the aptly titled Defender wide body Military edition.
And the principal British designer, who prides himself on the professional pseudonym The Road is my Catwalk, delivers this high-impact edition with such clout; it is safe to say that this military grey game-changer would not look out of place with London, Chelsea or New York centric drivers, rock climbers and off-roaders at the helm, nor would it look weary as troops speed into combat feeling almost unstoppable with excellent ground clearance, grip levels and good axle articulation.
To match the Iconic feel of the underlying car, the Kahn Defender is adorned with a brand new utilitarian and aggressive looking wide track arch kit which consists of lightweight extended wide wheel wings with integrated vents, embossed Kahn feature, vented headlight surrounds, side vents with mesh, bonnet vents with mesh, clear rear light lenses, clear side repeaters, clear front light lenses, crosshair headlights, Kahn prototype wing blades, Kahn prototype tailgate badge and Kahn oval tailgate badge.
But theres more to this vehicle than just an exterior styling package. Measures that protect passengers are also available. The team at A. Kahn Design can install layers of armored plates underneath the bodywork of the Defender, without having to modify the exterior of the car. All of the windows can also be replaced with special bulletproof glass similar to glass used to protect government officials. One of the major advantages to the glass installed by A Kahn Design is that it is thinner and lighter but still offers significant protection and improved light transition to the interior.
Furthermore, a commitment to cultivate the vehicle ensures a state of the bullet-proof glass, much lighter than type of glass used to protect world statesmen is also available, ensuring maximum protection.
The Kahn Defender also scores profoundly with its luxurious cabin, theres enough space in there to place all your belongings and then-some!
And once you've pounded through a hard days work, or driven through rugged terrain - you really want to ride home in a comfortable bespoke seat.
The company philosophy is to always give the customers what they want, so Afzal Kahn could for example, design you a vehicle with full colour change (to a colour of your choice) and an interior akin to, lets say, your favourite leather reclining chair in your living room. Customers could also change the colour of the clock, or ask for anything else, the world is their oyster, so to speak.
Kahn wheels sit perfectly on any vehicle, conveying the essence of the vehicle's identity. Created using state-of-the art manufacturing and materials technology, the 8x16 1948 Defender wheels are finished in matte black and fit all original centre caps. With simple clean lines, soft organic surfaces on the edge of the spoke and a purposeful mechanical centre, the 1948 Defender wheels are synonymous with elegance and innovation.
A. Kahn Design is for the individual who will not submit to a life of uniformity and who will only accept perfection. Dedicated to the creation of luxury bespoke vehicles, we redesign the ordered monotony of mass produced vehicles and rebuild them into individually tailored creations.
